Hen Party (*New* Painting)
:a party for women.
A group of women (and a little girl) standing on a lawn.
Hen Party 4/2011
Two of the subjects are members of my family.
Second lady from the right is, Terry, my sister-in-law.
The young girl in front is my niece, Jordan, from about 10 yrs ago.
This painting is an extension of the previous canvas called, "Shiloh."
In fact, they are both inspired from the same photograph.

The young fellow...what is he doing?
You might ask,
"Why do you have a young man in a painting called, Hen Party?"
Because he was there. :-)
I also like to have an odd number of subjects in my paintings.
He made four (even number) subjects,
into five (odd number) subjects,
and an odd number is the perfect number.
Call me crazy. LOL

My Birthday!
Birthday cake via my wonderful hubby. :-)
May 1st is my birthday.
I just turned the big 41... and I have to say,
"I love being in my 40's!"
The best part about being in my 40's is:
Acceptance.
I've discovered who I am and I find comfort in knowing myself.
My life is simple, complicated, and all around wonderful.
Besides, I have all this life experience to guide me.
Maturity.
"Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had,
and what you've learned from them,
and less to do with
how many birthdays you've
celebrated."
