Recently I've been working on a portrait painting for a little boy named Hunter. He lost his mother, Amanda, before he was old enough to really remember her. (It just breaks your heart.)
I've been working extra hard to get this portrait right. I want it to be perfect...
I want kindness to shine from her eyes, the soft set of her lips- in a smile filled with pure love. The purest love a mother feels for her child. The joy a parent knows when they hold their child in their arms...
This painting has a long way to go, but I think I've got it moving in the right direction.
My paintings start in pure chaos. I do plan them out before I begin, there's always a basic plan, but it seems they always take on a life of their own. The subjects in the art always seem to have a voice, they speak too me. ( There are pills for things like this...LOL) They have a mind of their own an useually take the art in a whole different direction.
